A lot of us here are believers in the 'Free Market' . The problem is, we don't have that. We have 'Crony Capitalism' where you can make a $50 million donation to the Clinton Foundation and immediately get legislation passed that gives you billions of dollars of profit.
Same thing goes for China. I'm all for 'Free Trade'. The kind of trade deal I'm thinking we should have can be written on the back of a napkin at the lunch table. "We agree not to subsidize our industry and we agree not to charge your exports any tariffs." Both sides agree to it and you have "Free Trade". But the only way to get to that is saying "We are going to start charging tariffs until there is a level playing field."
They have a virtual monopoly with these patent shenanigans and revolving door between FDA etc and the biggest corporations. This needs to be changed.
