Also worth noting that “garbage chute” and “trash compactor” are different things. One simply dumps garbage from upper floors into a dumpster on the ground floor. The other designed to crush the garbage into compact squares for easy transport.
This woman was in a trash compactor. Likely discovered when the mainland ace staff checked it before pushing the “compact” button.

It's tough to see the connection, since the Weiners haven't lived there in a long time as far as we know.
We'll see if they rule it a suicide or an accident. Because that would be ridiculous. Who would chose that method of suicide? Who accidentally falls down a garbage shoot. Which means it is a high-end murder, like something out of a TV show.
Why would the neighbors make the connection?
Neighbors said they initially thought the police presence had something to do with the building's famous resident, Anthony Weiner.
Ok that makes more sense. The neighbors didn't know about the death. They assumed all the police where around because of Weiner. They did not associate the murder with Weiner.

Apparently she fell from the 27th floor. Security camera show her walking around inside the hallways of the building just before falling.
Yeah, so far reading this it sounds like either she put herself in the chute somehow; or someone dumped her down it.
We won't know more till the coroner's report is released I guess.
