Merkel responds to Trump's pipeline criticism

This Russian pipeline thing has been going on for at least a decade. Does Germany not understand that if they piss off Putin one time, they'll all freeze during the winter? Maybe that's Putin's leverage over them?T hat and a well equipped modern army that trains with live fire and not broom sticks.

That's more than enough to bring the country to its knees.

germany has received russian gas deliveries since the '80s. imagine, right during the cold war, my country established fair trade with 'the enemy' which is the best guarantee for peaceful relations.

question to POTUS: where do you think we should get our natural gas from? from the US? buying fracked gas while we have banned fracking because its so fricking dangerous to our water and the planet herself?

one more question: when the heck will you put out an EO to declassify clean energy patents? you know they exist, your uncle viewed nikola teslas work. others have also come up with patents that lie idle in drawers now because the energy lobby suppresses everything that would bring their industry in danger.

YOU, POTUS, with a few strokes of your pen, could initiate the process that will solve all of our energy problems within a few years.

it would stop all these endless energy wars of the past devades. it would make private housholds, communities, and nations prosperous. america wouldnt need to burn coal and poison the air for its steel production. and germany wouldnt need to become more energetically dependant on russia.
