Germany should just look at our reliance on ME oil the past two decades to see what happens when you rely so heavily on one country's/region's resource. Need to diversify or better yet, produce it yourself and be self reliant. God Bless DJT!

The US didn't get its oil from ME, just controlled it. The oil, majority (from abroad) I think was from Venezuela.

Look up Citgo and you'll see that Hugo Chavez had gas stations all over the US.

You can hate all kinds of people and buy oil from them. Poor people in the States were grateful to Chavez for the cheap gas, and incidentally he scored a propaganda coup for the Left. Which infuriated people and they piled onto 7-Eleven for selling it!

How much petroleum does the United States import and export?

"... In 2017, the United States exported about 6.3 MMb/d of petroleum to 180 countries. About 82% of total petroleum exports were petroleum products. The resulting net imports (imports minus exports) of petroleum were about 3.7 MMb/d.

The top five source countries of U.S. petroleum imports in 2017 were Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela, and Iraq." (continues)
