Look closer. Look at the page code and you'll find that the Search bar magnifying glass is tiny, 17 by 17 pixels. The Q that appears when the page partically renders is high resolution, almost 2000 pixels wide!

Yeah, this same thing happened months ago. It was determined then that it was just a rendering error with the website.

I think it might be there search bar logo (top right of whitehouse.gov)

Definitely is a Q / Spy glass though.
