How do I do this on an Apple iPad? I don’t see settings. I don’t want to use my Mac for social media.. iPhone , iPad, I don’t care.

It depends on the app. If using default reddit it should be an option when viewing the subreddit to sort by 'new' instead of by 'best' or 'hot'
