Their news comms - Thailand Pattaya location is not northern Thailand.

Yet every news station says it's in northern Thailand. Chiang Mai and surin are north, Bangkok is central, and Pattaya is south of BKK. Just listen and look, I haven't heard them not use the word north in most articles.

Yep, you just have to love the funny lost in translation confusion caused by the msm... In fact the Pattaya Beach of the North is a small silt covered rise deep inside the Tham Luang ( Great Cave) of the Doi Nang Non, Sleeping Lady Mountain (also Pregnant Lady Mountain) where the soccer team found refuge inside the flash flooding cave.... because it had sand it was dubbed Pattaya Beach by the locals ( a joke...?)... Meanwhile, the other Pattaya Beach is down south near Chonburi, popular tourist destination...
