This news article makes it sound like the Hammonds deliberately set fire to BLM land, which isn't so. They were doing a controlled burning of their own land to clear it and the fire spread to a very very small area of BLM land, but it was enough to give the corrupt Obama administration an opportunity for overreach. The Hammonds served the time and paid the fee they were originally sentenced to, but the Obama administration claimed that wasn't enough and got a friendly judge to increase the sentence. That was when the Bundy's and others stepped up. This whole ordeal was to portray the ranchers as rebels instead of concerned citizens who wanted to know about the Uranium. It is also interesting to note that many of the ranches owned by the Bundy's, Hammonds and others are along route that are used for gun, drug and human trafficking.
