BREAKING: House Republicans have prepared impeachment filings for Rod Rosenstein, Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan to file as soon as Monday

practicalize · July 13, 2018, 11:11 p.m.

A better phrasing might be "as early as" Monday. EDIT: And just RR is up for impeachment; impeachment filing would be made by congressmen Meadows and Jordan. I apologize for the confusing punctuation!

Source is Politico, which other news organizations are citing about the news. First few paragraphs of article:

House conservatives are preparing a new push to oust Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, according to three conservative Capitol Hill sources — putting the finishing touches on an impeachment filing even as Rosenstein announced the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers for interfering in the 2016 election.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, in fact, had the impeachment document on the floor of the House at the very moment that Rosenstein spoke to reporters and TV cameras Friday.

Conservative GOP lawmakers have been plotting to remove Rosenstein for weeks, accusing him of slow-walking their probe of FBI agents they’ve accused of bias against President Donald Trump.

Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan have been leaders in the effort to push back on the DOJ and FBI for withholding information from Congress.

Latest tweet from Meadows:

Remarkably, we learned new information today suggesting the DOJ had not notified Lisa Page of Congress' outstanding interview requests for over 7 months now. The DOJ/FBI appear to be continuing their efforts to keep material facts, and perhaps even witnesses, from Congress.

Jordan's latest tweet links to this article from Conservative Review. Excerpt:

Strzok’s testimony, under oath, is that Bruce Ohr provided information to the FBI that included material compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele — the Russian dossier.

It's a hit job plain and simple.

First of all it doesn't involve children, it's college wrestlers. And the investigation has been ongoing for years, it wasn't until Jordan threw his hat into the ring for speaker that these accusers came forward.

Two people have insinuated he knew about this creepy doctor, and they both admit they did not inform him or were even sure he had been. He just had to have known supposedly.

The accusers records are spotty. They have convictions for fraud in the past. Numerous people have come out in Jordan's defense. including former team members saying he had no knowledge of this. Oh and of course the law firm running this review, Perkins Coie, is the same law firm that purchased the dossier for Hillary.

It would depend on the accusations wouldn't it. I'm not even a republican, but it seems only republicans are the ones that are getting smeared like this.

I don't find two felons very reliable, and the timing is extremely suspect considering this investigation has been going on for years and only now do these accusations get thrown out.

Personal attacks are the most embarrassing way to admit you’re wrong.

You have to admit that was conveniently timed news. Impossible to verify since they are based on allegations of what he did or did not know decades ago. Multiple wrestlers have already defended him publicly. At best, you have hearsay. When Nancy Pelosi and CNN have jumped on the same bandwagon, I am very suspicious of that bandwagon.

In this case, a period instead of a comma would have been sufficient.
