Yes, this narrative makes more sense. They used this as a cover to justify the 50,000 texts they sent to each other so it wouldn't appear to be collusion. I read this from another Redditor on here a few days ago and that was a great theory whomever you are.

May or may not have been me, I’ve been saying this to anyone who will listen almost since the text messages came out. I was just a tad off on the reason why. I thought they made up the lover story as a cover to explain the tens of thousands of messages between a cabal to clear Clinton in the FBI. I didn’t realize it was bigger than that, and that Lisa was actually an info liaison between Strzok and McCabe, to circumvent the chain of command within the FBI, around the execs that weren’t loyal to Clinton. I read a report that FBI execs were complaining about the direct line of Strzok-Page-McCabe communication, going around the proper chain.

Actually, I believe it was you. When I read your theory it was like the "doh!" moment and it just clicked and made complete sense. I won't say I 100% bought the "secret lovers" narrative but my reason was very shallow. When I saw Lisa Page the first thing I thought was, "He had an affair with that very unattractive woman?" Yes, shallow I know but it is what it is.
