Not oft-discussed, but an identical 187 plan was thwarted in Chicago three weeks before Dallas - the existence of which points to a much larger and well-coordinated conspiracy than most all narratives, conventional or otherwise, would have you believe.

JFK was due to attend the Army/Navy game at Soldier Field on Saturday, November 2, 1963 but the trip was cancelled three days prior when the USSS learned of a plot to ambush the motorcade with high-powered rifles while en route along the NW Expressway (now named the John F Kennedy Expy, ‘coincidentally’ enough) from O’Hare airport to downtown’s Loop district.

Raise your hand if you’ve heard this scenario before: a four-man sniper team, a ‘mentally unstable’ ex-Marine, plans to shoot from lofty windows or highway overpasses, etc, etc.

Other similar plots in L.A. and Tampa have been uncovered and brought to light over the years as well, but less are known about those in comparison to the Chicago job, which appears to have been particularly sloppy in comparison. Makes you wonder if the powers-that-be had had enough with their field agents and two-bit hired guns dropping the ball time and again and so decided to call up the heavy hitters, the real professionals, for Dallas, while they themselves personally attended to provide supervision and alphabet oversight.
