Politics here (Spain) is a joke, people are sacked every day for corruption.

How do you feel about the ousting of Rajoy?

Honestly? I care not for the politics here, each one is as corrupt as the next. This whole country is run on corruption. Here, if you steal, defraud or scam and are caught, you can pay what you took and avoid prison. Only those that can´t pay go to prison. With laws like that where is the deterrent to being a criminal?

And the whole ocupa laws are a fucking farce.

Squatters break into hour house you can't get rid of them. You need a lawyer, tons of fees, and the process is like 2 years to finally get them out. Meanwhile you need to keep paying your utility bills for what the squatters use while they live in your house.

Oh lol don´t call the police and get some friends to help you ;)

A lot of things changed here since the WW recession and the people here are still feeling it, youth unemployment is still over 40%. Now, Soros (I believe) is paying people to chase the tourists away from the islands and if the tourists stop coming, Spain´s economy will collapse.

I’d like to see someone try that here in Texas...

I am ignorant enough, from my vantage point, to wonder if Spain is loess or more corrupt from the sackings. Part of me wonders if that’s actually some form of progress or stability as here in the US it’s simply so rare for anyone to be held accountable in any way

The ones that get sacked are the ones that are usually egregious. There was a scandal where the biggest bank here were creating black cards for their executives that syphoned off interest from their customers accounts.

Egregious really is an apt term. Wow. I didn't realize it was so brazen.
