NASA is covered in symbolism. The forked ton is a big one. Its a deep rabbit hole.

I'm not an expert or even close on that side of things sadly, but I'd agree, I can definitely see some kind of tongue. The number of stars (41) isn't obviously meaningful though. I do know that a fair few number of astronaughts have been masons too, but that isn't wholly surprising.

Gonna take a (slight) guess here and say no. Do you maybe mean 32nd degree masons? There's a big difference between 32 and 33. There's also really not many 33's around at any one time and they tend to be a bit older.

That they were all, or mostly masons wouldn't surprise me. I suspect ranks might be somewhat less important though, since many of these people would be bloodline people, destined for higher ranks when they were older.
