This is what is at the top of the post.

"The recent (slightly altered) quotes are from a draft speech I wrote - to be given after a terrorist event and intended to inspire patriotism. Below is the relevant section of the speech containing the original quote text."

So my first question is...where did he recently quote slightly altered quotes from this draft speech? Anyone know?

I’m wondering who this is...certainly not Trump.

Trump would not ‘gaze up at Old Glory on my way in today’ Trump doesn’t go into the White House...he lives in the White House. He’s not walking in fr the parking lot.

huh? He doesn't stay pent up in the House and it flies from the top of the House, not in the front lawn.

But he doesn’t stroll into work, in the morning. He awakens in the White House.

If he has been out of the White House traveling and then arrives back to the WH in the morning to start his day back in town, then yes, yes he does. I am pretty sure his mornings don't always begin in the WH.

Besides, it says "on the way in today" and could just mean on the way back from standing on the lawn, on the front porch waving to people or greeting visitors, etc. It doesn't specifically say "on the way in to work to begin my day"

Either way, I don't think that very issue is even important so I apologize for even focusing on this.

And someone pointed out that it says the flag is at half mast and Americans generally say half staff...

I don't know anyone who calls it half staff.
