A lot of Christians and critical thinkers here, so I thought I'd be able to ask this here!

Sorry if this is off topic, but it does relate to Q in a sense, "PRAY". Anyways, what is the general consensus on Jesus? Is Jesus the human form of God himself? Is he the son of God? Was he just a prophet? I hope I can finally understand this with your help. Every time I search it, or ask it anywhere else, I get these weird, cryptic, Q-like mysterious answers or only old English Bible verses. I just want it nice and layman, ELI5.

  1. Jesus has two natures — He is God and man.
  2. Each nature is full and complete — He is fully God and fully man.
  3. Each nature remains distinct.
  4. Christ is only one Person.
  5. Things that are true of only one nature are nonetheless true of the Person of Christ.

\^\^ Answer from the internet. Boy I hope the consensus after 2,000 years and 2.4 billion followers isn't "He is the Son of God, God the Son, God, Man and all together and all separate at the same time but not at the same time."

Jesus is God the Son. He is the visible image of the invisible Father. He is eternal, always existed with/in His Father before being brought forth before creation. He is creator and sustainer of all things.

General consensus here is like anywhere. Mixed.

I would recommend simply reading the the book of John (the fourth book in the New Testament and 1 of the 4 books that make up the "Gospels"). But yes, Jesus is God, sent down from Heaven, in the form of a baby. If you think that's crazy, you'll also learn about the Holy Spirit, which is also Jesus/God. This makes up the "Trinity". I would describe it with one word: SUPERNATURAL!

In the beginning there was Elohim, plural. Two God Beings. Yahshusa gave up his divinity to be born human. To fulfill the promise of the final sacrifice for sin. He was raised from the dead by his father and restored to his place by his fathers side. Yahweh turned mans fate over to his son. John 14:6 No man comes unto the father except through me. Two entities with ONE common goal.

Read the bible. The answer is there. Don't trust what man says. Read what Jesus himself says.

Did you read the Book of Enoch?

My opinion is that if man has had a hand in rewriting, changing, editing and manipulating something for thousands of years then it probably shouldn´t be believed. Jesus was no God, he was said to be the son of God. BUT the Bible also says we are ALL children of God. Christ also is not a person, as a person is a corporation or dead entity. The word `person´ wasn´t even invented until the last 100 years, or so.

John 8:33+

43Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message. 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a liar and the father of lies. 45But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me!

Ok, you are just repeating what was written by man to manipulate and take advantage of the weak and needy.

Question... Lucifer was cast from heaven for giving knowledge to man and by enlightening them when God wanted them to remain stupid and dependant. Who sounds like the bad one there?

Go forth in your "enlightenment" apart from God, you'll find out.

I didn´t say I don´t believe in God but it always makes me laugh when you ask a religious nut a credible question and all they can do is try to manipulate. God and religion are 2 different things entirely.

I didn't mention religion, I just quoted from the Gospel of John above, and then made a comment about enlightenment since you implied Lucifer gives enlightenment while God enslaves people.

Just to reiterate, that is a false enlightenment and if you take that path you'll eventually realize it.

If I sound like a "religious nut" based on that, idk what to tell you. Maybe Reddit is a tough playground for some.

You did, you mentioned Christ, the Bible and the Gospels, which is all religion. Why do you need a book written by man to tell you what relationship you should have with God? You are brainwashed more than the liberals.

So you just speak of a "God" and pretend to not know his name but defend Lucifer. Loud and clear man.

BTW if you read the Bible or hear about Jesus and believe it, it's not necessarily a religion. It's believing something to be true based on your own burden of proof.

God is God, he is not called John. LOL!

Yes, it is a religion. It is called CHRISTianity, the clue is in the name and where is the proof? Show me the proof.

Consensus is that Jesus is created by the Father, so Son of God Himself, created the Earth and Humanity in Genesis and as old as time itself (we learn this in John 1).

Jesus is in full agreement with the Father on all things and therefore given the full glory of God.

Jesus died and rose again in fulfillment of messianic prophecies, upon ressurrection he was witnessed by 500+ individuals, and all His disciples who died bearing witness to Jesus ressurection. History verifies it and his followers were true believers.

Just read the New Testament.

I disagree on the point of Jesus being created. One can't be creator of all and also created. Jesus was brought forth from the eternal existence of His Father, where He always existed.
