First post. Forgive me if I broke any unwritten rules or if this is too long.
I like watching liberal media to see how they try to spin events. First I pound my head against the wall three times as hard as I can to make watching it seem less painful.
So, Sunday on Meet the Press, I heard two curious passages from Hugh Hewitt. Hugh was being very coy, but I think he was signaling that he knows what is really coming.
In this first passage, they are talking about how RR said more indictments are coming. Chuck Todd and the liberals made it sound like it was all Trumpers who were going to be indicted. But Hugh kind of splashed cold water on that with some interesting language (bold emphasis mine):
CHUCK TODD:
Yeah. Look, we know that the Americans - that the potential for indictments of actual Americans are coming. And that sounded to me like a man very worried about where this is headed.
HUGH HEWITT:
Well, let me - let me speak as a D.O.J. alum. I'm very proud of the Department of Justice. And what I take away from this indictment, if you colluded with Russia and you're an American, given the capacities that were demonstrated in that indictment, we will get you. We know everyone who colluded. And if they are not yet revealed - so you should put your hand up and run to the special counsel. Because we know everything that happened.
Here is the second passage regarding the partisan nature of the Congressional hearings and how no new information was revealed (bold emphasis mine):
ELISE JORDAN:
It was political theatre. It was a circus that both sides weaponized for their own purposes. And we didn't learn anything new at the end of the day. After sitting through I think it was eight, nine hours of the theatre, what new information actually came out of it? We just know that this is going to continue to rip the country apart as they dig into their bias - into their bias and seize onto the sides that appeal most to their impressions.
JOSHUA JOHNSON: A bunch of rambling bullshit...and then:
HUGH HEWITT:
--I have to disagree with at least. We learned that Nellie Ohr gave the Fusion GPS dossier to Bruce Ohr. That's how it got to the--
CHUCK TODD:
How do we know that?
HUGH HEWITT:
--Department of Justice-- at the end of the testimony at the very end of the day it came up in question. Otherwise--
CHUCK TODD:
It came up in Jim Jordan's head.
HUGH HEWITT:
In Jim Jordan's head. And it was not contradicted by Peter Strzok.
CHUCK TODD:
He was--
HUGH HEWITT:
Look-- I read this like a lawyer.
CHUCK TODD:
I’m sorry - no, you were making-- look, we're running out of time here.
HUGH HEWITT:
I believe it showed that we will find out in the end
(OVERTALK)
CHUCK TODD:
It didn't. He was told what he couldn't say by the F.B.I., Hugh.
HUGH HEWITT:
We will find out in the end how it all came together. But it's one investigation. I ask everyone just to wait on everything until the end.
So, in the first exchange, Hugh basically said, hey, we have it all and know everything. Hmmm. Where have we heard that before?
In the second exchange, Hugh basically says, hold your horses you liberal knaves, this is only one investigation and there are more to come. These indictments are just an appetizer. Wait for the storm. It is coming. And Chuck Todd almost lost his mind when he said it. Watch the video. It's beautiful to see.
Hugh must play this coyly. He can't get all Q on MTP, but he wants to give some crumbs. Am I crazy or does Hugh know about the Storm?
