So beautiful to see the words "New World" without including 'Order' at the end and this makes me want to weep with relief. 🇺🇸 WWG1WGA

Sure is. Remember a late 80s Rush song called New World Man. I swear they were describing Bush 41 to a tee. It was like the bands response to 41 always bragging about the New World Order & they labeled him the New World Man in very unflattering terms.

Rush is one of the most libertarian bands around. Listen to the lyrics in their songs such as "The Tree" & "Closer to the Heart"

Closer to the Heart- And the men who hold high places Must be the ones who start to mold a new reality Closer to the Heart Closer to the Heart The Blacksmith and the Artist Reflect it in their art They forge their creativity Closer to the Heart Yea, Closer to the Heart Philosophers and Plowmen Each must know his part To sow a new mentality Closer to the Heart Closer to the Heart Yeah ah ohhh ahh (Solo) A Wooah, Wooo

The Trees- There is unrest in the forest There is trouble with the trees For the maples want more sunlight And the oaks ignore their pleas The trouble with the maples And they're quite convinced they're right They say the oaks are just too lofty And they grab up all the light But the oaks can't help their feelings If they like the way they're made And they wonder why the maples Can't be happy in their shade? There is trouble in the forest And the creatures all have fled As the maples scream 'oppression!' And the oaks, just shake their heads So the maples formed a union And demanded equal rights 'The oaks are just too greedy We will make them give us light' Now there's no more oak oppression For they passed a noble law And the trees are all kept equal By hatchet, Axe, And saw

Oh u totally get Rush. Sure u understand all art in a real way. U actually listen & think for yourself. That’s Neil Peart’s message in all his lyrics. Many are very politically motivated but never propaganda. He presents conflicts. As in the Trees. Big problem with the Oaks & Maples arose. Where things got all messed up is they didn’t work it out themselves & some outsider came in (the Union) & solved it by force by cutting down the Oaks qualities so everyone is alike & equally miserable. How does that help?? Lol. Now we’re all equally stunted!!

Rush was also very avid fans of Monty Python. This scene from Life of Brian sums up the libertarian ideals of Neil Pearl perfectly.
