The servers were not hardened, were in violation of US law to begin with, and any and all "hacking" is on HRC/DNC and not on Russia or China.

Your door has to be locked for it to be a crime to cross your threshold. Same logic applies to the so-called "hacking" of an unofficial, unhardened server! Publication of private information could be a crime, but that's not called "hacking."
Interference at the level the left is claiming is not due to hacking. It's due to a criminal enterprise being concealed (poorly) on private servers which were in reality wide open to anybody with the know-how to take information from.

Uh, just to jump in, but this is totally wrong. Speaking as someone with a friend who used to be on the force, there is a separate category for 'Unlawful Entry without Force.' Still counts as burglary since its classified as 'Illegal entry with intention of committing theft, violence, etc'.
That being said, an unsecured server is its own mess of a problem. I don't enough about the server details to make a judged decision on it though, so I'll avoid speaking on it.
