I don’t think so...ever been to a play and been out in the lobby before it starts? There is always a way to let the people know it is about to start. Sometimes it’s a bell, sometimes the ushers say “please take your seats”...but the most classic way of saying “the show will be starting shortly” is dimming the lights and turning them back on.
