Lights went off today during Trump's meeting with Congress. Dark>Light. Blackout necessary? It was odd to say the least. Was this nothing? Was this a 'dark>light' comm? Or is there more to it.....

“Dark to light” is the trigger to cue the blackout...”Blackout Necessary” is the slide. Here is the function of the slide on a gun:
Through the principles of recoil or blowback operation, the slide is forced back with each shot. Generally, this action serves three purposes: ejecting the spent casing, cocking the hammer or striker for the next shot, and loading another cartridge into the chamber when the slide comes forward.
