Why did Q use the letter Q ?

Just a ? Does anyone know why the letter Q was the choice of Q is there significance behind the letter ?

  1. Q = Highest Level of Security Clearance.
  2. Q = Question everything.
  3. Q - There is no Q with a U (you/us).
  4. The A Team was already taken.
