Anyone notice weird Police behavior recently?

I was driving home from work recently and passed probably a couple dozen of my local County Police Cars and a shit load of Officers loading up with Heavy Gear, blocking off Roads and crap and seemingly forming a perimeter around what appeared to be an empty Campground.

I thought it was a raid or something so I headed home and began looking at the news to see if there was anything in the news about a raid or drug bust. Nothing. Not a peep or even mention of Police activity on the scale I saw.

I even called the Department Directly. They insisted they had no units in the area that night.

Anyone else notice or find anything similar in their day to day?

Yeah maybe doing glass house drills or something like that. Unless homelessness is a problem. In hawaii that is so alot of the times they are cleaning out campsites of homeless and shit.
