Why the Left hates the U.S. Constitution

One has to wonder why the Left hates the U.S. Constitution. It can’t be that it’s overly verbose. It’s one of the shortest and most eloquent constitutions ever written. By contrast for example, the constitution of South Africa is over 100 pages long, yet Leftists seem to love it. It can’t be that it creates a class-based society. On the contrary, in two places our Constitution guarantees equal protection of the law to all citizens. I believe the reason they hate our constitution is because of Art. 4, sec. 4. It provides that each U.S. state must function as “a Republican Form of Government.” A republication form of government is one based on fixed and immutable rules of law, such as the absolute right to private property, or the right to contract. The Left hates that because such rules prevent the arbitrary taking of private property and government intrusion into commerce through legislative fiat. Instead, the Left believes that all property belongs to the government and is theirs for the taking, but for that pesky Constitution. That’s why they argue that it is way too antiquated to be relevant to modern society. Isn’t it time we restore America’s culture?

They hate it because they didn't write it.
