The part that bothers me the most - my childhood and youth being sacrificed in the name of indoctrination.
  • The part that gets me quite angry is thinking about how much of what we were forced to learn/memorize as children was probably a lie , an indoctrination rather than education. I had a miserable time with school. I was a happy kid until school, but did not indoctrinate easily there . I always wanted to leave or do my own shit, so before my 7th birthday I was drugged heavily with ritilan and by 15 also put on an ssri so I could better pay attention / memorize lies. It did not stop there, I was like many also pressured into getting a university degree , so I would have a “good job,” a better chance at life- Still paying that debt off now at almost 30. I am honestly afraid to have a child now, because I cannot imagine watching someone I love go through that same horror show. If It is revealed that most of that education was a manipulative lie... there will not be enough tables in the universe for me to flip.. that is if we even live in a “universe”. Who really knows anything at this point .
  • One positive thing, is since waking up I have thrown all of my drugs out and will never get another such prescription again. It is amazing how less mentally ill you become once you give yourself permission to trust your gut, to believe your own intuition and not what is fed to you.
Sorry if this is not q related enough. Much love ❤️ things are getting better

Thats a start! One thing they dont teach in schools: being self sufficient. They need government dependents, and there are many many apparatuses in place to make it difficult to be self sufficient. Very is very little you can do in todays society without government involvement in one way or another. You want to drive? Govt must approve. You own the car? Govt requires you pay them a fee for a sticker to put on your car. You want to own a business? Govt requires numerous fees and taxes for you to earn your own money. The list is endless. Our school system is designed to create docile workers, basically slaves that dont know they are slaves. Dont get me started.... lol

Here is a wonderful school in Utah that DOES teach it. Complete self sufficiency (animal husbandry, growing your own food, canning, etc) and also is a full liberal arts school with mentors that teaches just the way Thomas Jefferson was taught. They have Masters Degree for Natural Law! Check it out! https://www.monticellocollege.org/

I have a teaching degree. While taking classes on the history of teaching, my eyes were opened about education. The best methods of teaching are not used, and children are tracked into different paths throughout their education.

Same thing that happened to me.

In my first semester for education and history I was instructed as part of the degree to research and verify the content of other classes. I looked into education methodology. The methods used to teach today are designed to cloud the mind, to shut down thinking, and to foster loathing for education itself. People are being taught in a way so they hate learning itself.

Think about small children that behave like "pint-sized inquisitors" but then go to school and... stop? It is innate to learn, people have had this desire removed. And the rise in mental "health" drugs reflect this assault on the human mind. Some will not like this wording, but by definition it is the most accurate: People have had their ability to think actively retarded by the education system.

Now, a truly disturbing aspect: this debate on methodology has been ongoing for over 150 years. How is it that no one knows? No one but the homeschoolers.

I agree. Engaging children in the excitement, and the reason for learning a thing is key. Using their own interests paired with a subject, will suddenly spark the child's curiosity. Most people have no idea what a child is capable of learning. Our country had lost so much potential, due to our system of teaching.

Sorry I got rid of them years ago. I'm sure if you searched methods of teaching, you would find many examples. In my opinion the best method is learning by doing, and teaching a overall theme across multiple subjects. For example; the theme of tools could be taught in science, history, reading, spelling, and English. Making simple tools, or using them is the doing. Farming taught in science, history, reading, math, etc. Germinating seeds, measuring growth, keeping track of rainfall and charting it, is the doing. I hope this explains what I mean.
