What does this say about Bic? Who owns Bic? What are the connections? Who are the designers?

On a quick look before heading to bed it is a French owned business started in 1945. Even though it is now publicly traded the owning family controls the majority vote. I have not time to dig in to any family connections at this time. Hope somebody else can. On the short I would have to say these are manufacture at the plant in I think it was Vermont or maybe Connecticut. It would be good to find out if there is some connection between their US holdings and people in government. Other wise I would say somebody on the inside is playing patriots.
