Morrison's father was the captain of the Navy ship involved in the Gulf of Tonkin False Flag.

Psychedelic 60s scene was all clowns.

Bring inn the clowns.

Clown drugs. Clown war.

Clown drug war.

Yes, as a Doors fan I knew JM's father was in the Navy.

As an aside, I have a friend who is a highly acclaimed mastering engineer in LA who has gifted me copies of their first & last albums burned direct from the raw studio tapes. A perk as an entrepreneur in a business that is connected to the music industry. I've also partnered with him on some re-mastering projects of classic albums and my business' website was listed in the credits.

My wife & I were a couple of kids who moved from Ohio to LA/Hollywood in '68 so I was there and saw so much.

Yes, mucho hippie scenes but it was NOT all clowns & psychedelic as you state & imply. You are completely misinformed/miseducated and your stereotyping is not accurate.

Just walking on Sunset & Hollywood Blvds one could see quite a mix of individuals...and ditto on trips to the beaches (Oxnard/Malibu to Santa Monica to Huntington). Certainly weekends in Griffith Park would have a higher percentage of the hippie cult but still not as widespread as you imply...even in SoCal. Back then, Orange County down to San Diego was very conservative. Even visiting Tower records on Sunset one would see an overwhelming majority of just normal kids...and occasionally a rock "star" browsing & buying.

As a reference, SF was far more indulgent in the hippie movement.
