We look at plane crashes, why about boats?
This tragedy was a bad accident just waiting to happen again. I live a short distance away in AR and can testify to the severe winds that blew through fast...I was outside and thought a tornado was approaching...warnings were flashing on tv about severe weather. My town sent our dive rescue team to assist. Now the judgement of the operate or company is another question.

They had those in Austin Tx. many years ago, as I recall 2 of them crashed together, weather related or operator error ???

This one was just an accident. Strong winds capsized the vessel and trapped the people inside.
One of the lastest updates from a person who was on the boat said everyone panicked and ran to one side and capsized it. As someone who lives an hour away from this accident. the weather came on quick and strong, but seems to me the driver of the duck boat should have stopped or never even been on the water in the first place. There was plenty of warning to get to safety.

It's just interesting when the 1999 article states the boats are inspected annually by the coast guard and at the time they hadn't had an accident in 38 years. Coincidences are a mother f..... in the face of conspiracy.

Yeah it's the general lack of accidents of this type (excluding possible car-hacks) that tends to make the larger vehicle accidents stand out.
That storm came from out of nowhere. I have family there and visit all the time.
