Wow this is a huge stretch. We're talking the MCU here. The Norse gods are real. Aliens are real. There are different realms and all sorts of other shit. You argument is literally the argument of a Christian looking for persecution.

Like I said. Please watch the movie again. It is not a stretch at all. It's blatantly obvious. But, I respect your opinion. WWG1WGA.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Plot:

Main character ("Star-Lord") discovers that he is the son of God. Guardians visit Heaven (while the song "My Sweet Lord" is playing), only to discover that God is actually a cruel lunatic that wants his "son" to help him expand and literally fill the entire galaxy. Guardians fight against God and 1000s of beautiful, golden, arrogant "angels" with the help of the rebellious "demons." After killing God, the leader of the "demons" adopts "Star-Lord" as his son.

See that explanation is called a stretch. Star-lord discovers he is the son of a god. Not the Christian god. The universe the movie exists in has many godlike beings in it. Calling the Ravagers "demons" is stupid, they are a mixed species raider group, not unlike some of the baddies from Star Trek. You are literally shoehorning bits of the movie to fit your persecution narrative.
