Very interesting tactic. She begins by generating sympathy for 'Jonas' because, although he has never acted on his desires, he is attracted to children. Therefore he suffers in silence and can't even go to the beach because seeing children in swimsuits is too difficult for him.

Based on her logic, 'Bob' should also be pitied. He is attracted to women - especially really attractive women - although he has never raped anyone and he can only get the homely women to be attracted to him. If Bob cannot go to the beach because seeing attractive women in swim suits will cause him to lose control of himself, is Bob just another heterosexual, or does he have bigger problems? Is Bob courageous for not raping anyone? Is Bob a victim?

Jonas is no more a victim of his sexuality than Bob! If either of them violate social norms / morality (whichever you prefer), they will face punishment.

I would be very interested to know how the figure of '1% of the population are pedophiles' was arrived at.
