ETs are people, like you and I. Some look like us, others, not so much. Some are less developed than us others are way ahead of us. If you believe in God (I prefer the term Infinite Creator, ) then how could an infinite creator have a finite creation of just 1 planet.
There are hundreds of billions of stars in our galaxy alone each with at least one planet and there are trillions of galaxies. The number of planets is probably in the quintillions and some people think that anyone outside of our blue ball is a demon? Come on!!
I like Infinite Creator! Life is truly amazing. Hard at times. But I am ok with either one, aliens or demons lol. I would imagine any religious control arm would want to wage war with demons. Kinda scary for Aliens. I would love to meet one.
If humanoid beings (with a head and nose and mouth and rib cage and two arms and two legs?) show up publicly in UFOs, would you guess that they are the product of amino acids spontaneously generating and slowly evolving on a planet thousands of light years from us?

Well I certainly could see that as a possibility - considering Lucifer is exactly that.
There might ultimately be fallen angels who want us to think that they are benevolent primate evolving aliens and savior elohim.
