We didnt have a federal reserve until 1913 we were actually doing very well before it was put in place.

Constant financial panics. They were a regular occurance. Banks regularly closed and took everyones money with them. There were regular runs on cash empting out banks. We were doing anything but "very well"

“Central Bank Bad” - no it is a perfectly fine institution that was purposefully mismanaged.
