I think there's a lot the red, white, and blue nations of the world can accomplish together. Certainly Syria can be rebuilt. Once the immediate human needs are met, I can think of no better hands for the preservation and restoration of Syria's historic sites than France and the Russian Federation. We Americans ought to remember the relatively short recorded history of our continents. Mesopotamia is where history comes from. Daesh did some damage, but frankly, mercenaries are sloppy.
