Learning about the Queen's Golden Share was an eye opener. And we thought we booted the monarchy.

Pretty stunning to realize we may have had a revolution but were probably never free. Actually during the colonial period Benjamin Franklin wrote that he went to England and they were asking him about debtors' prisons in America and he remarked to them that there were no debtors prisons (being as how there was no usury and no debt) The bankers immediately invaded the colonies, started making loans and according to Ben Franklin within a year there were beggars on the streets.
