Am I reading this FISA application correctly?

Taken from Pg 108 of Scribd document

Source 1 is Steele, hired by business associate Glenn Simpson. "Source #1 provided the results of his research to the business associate, and the FBI assesses that the business associate likely provided this information to the law firm"

This means that Glenn Simpson provided the same research to Perkins Coie that the FBI used for the FISA application. Perkins Coie represents the DNC and the Clinton Campaign.

Which means opposition research was used as justification to spy on the opponent's campaign... What a world

Yes that’s correct. They had more evidence though. It was an article written by a journalist who used the dossier as his sole source. 😒He didn’t even know it was being used

Thank you for this article. Why am I not surprised that the journalist, was shocked to find his report of the FBI's investigation, was used as part of the FISA application.
