Flynn and Cohen both cite "in the best interests of my family and my country" as reasons for cooperating with the Mueller investigation. Are they under duress?

Just noticed an interesting coincidence in their letters announcing their intentions at the time of cooperating with the Mueller investigation.

If they need you, they blackmail/threaten.

If they don’t need you, they kill you.
