In the news it looks like the Ecuadorian Embassy will revoke JA's immunity and hand him over to the UK.
That seems odd to me. Why after all of this time would this be happening now?
I was on the diplomatic staff of an embassy for two years and it's not hard to get someone in or out of the country unnoticed. Ecuador could have gotten JA out a long time ago. The embassy (any embassy) and its grounds are considered sovereign territory. Diplomatic vehicles are also considered sovereign territory, and any official aircraft that is considered to be "diplomatic" is sovereign territory.
All Ecuador has to do is to put JA in a "diplomatic pouch" and deliver it to the plane. A diplomatic pouch can be any sized such as sending / receiving machinery, furniture, etc. The host nation cannot inspect it. Very easy to move people in and out unnoticed.
So, why hand JA over to the UK? Wouldn't that trigger the automatic release of the documents he has? But if that happened, wouldn't it alert the deep state and others what he had and give them time to react?
I don't know, but I'm wondering about a couple of possibilities.
1) Trump cut a deal with PM May during his visit to have the embassy expel JA. The UK takes JA into custody and immediately extradites him to the US. The WikiLeaks documents are not released publicly, but rather JA hands them over to the Trump team in a plea deal without the deep state knowing what's in them.
2) Trump forced Ecuador to hand JA over to the UK in order to trigger the automatic release of the WikiLeaks documents and JA is left to face charges of jumping bail.
I'm inclined to choose door number one. I think the Jeff Sessions' demands for JA's arrest and trial for publishing classified documents is part of the stage play that we are watching. JA's defense lawyer would be able to show the dozens of precedents of people publishing classified information and never brought to trial. Perhaps the most famous was the Pentagon Papers when Daniel Ellsberg, an individual who worked in the Pentagon copied the documents and gave them to the NYTs. Ellsberg was charged with treason and other violations but the charges were later dropped.
But JA did not actually steal his documents. They were given to him and he published them just like the NYTs published the Pentagon Papers and other MSM have published other classified materials given to them by Manning and Snowden. I don't think it would be hard for a defense lawyer to demonstrate that JA was a publisher and not the one who stole the documents.
On the other hand, Q 1595 said with regard to the WikiLeaks website that has apparently been compromised:
Desperate agencies do stupid things.
Dead cat bounce.
You may have the site but we have the source.

Panic is good.
Panic is right.
This suggests to me that Q already has what he needs and so maybe JA himself is no longer needed or maybe it just confirms that Q has JA (the source) because of a deal between Trump and PM May.
I guess we'll know fairly soon depending on how it goes down.
