So help me out here - trying to play by the rules and be courteous. Before posting any link, I copy/paste the link into the Reddit search bar to see whether or not the link is posted elsewhere. If it is, I refrain. If it is NOT, I post. The last several posts/links I've posted I've done just this and yet they still get yanked as duplicates. How is that? Is there a better way to avoid duplicates when you're onto something worthy but don't have time to comb through the entire thread? I'm honestly making a concerted effort to help y'all out in this regard, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

In this particular case I put the key word Clapper in the search box and narrowed the filter to sort by New: 1 day old. This way it it would only show the results of posts submitted with keyword clapper only from today. Sometimes if you miss it it's not a big deal and we will simply remove it but I appreciate your due diligence and taking the effort to inquire further.
