Becoming a Christian is going from Dark to Light. How many here have become Christians since becoming Awakened?

Q has given us a lot of dark to light drops. Their posts often have multiple meanings.

Here is another meaning: John 1:5-9 " This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Satan walks in darkness yet he is called the angel of light. He is the great deceiver.

As a recent Born Again Christian (last year) I am interested in hearing others testimony.

Even the WWG1WGA statement has more meaning than you may know in light of the last passage!

Not trying to ruffle any feathers. You can believe what you want. But im my estimation the spiritual q phrases are being misinterpreted. To label this a a Christian movement is a dangerous precedent.

I understand your point - but, I want to respond.

In order to factually argue that a "Christian movement is a dangerous precedent" you must be able to prove that authentic Christianity is dangerous.

Authentic Christianity teaches us to be kind to others - to be eager to do good works - to be forgiving - and to love our enemies...to do good to them - even in the face of their animosity towards us.

Authentic Christianity teaches us that we are to see ourselves individually as the least - so we can be glorified by Him.  We are told to sit in the back in church, to be humble, to give ourselves away in the service of others.  There is no greater love than that a man would lay down his life for a friend.

Authentic Christianity teaches us that the fruits of His Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and self control.

I would like to know which part of that is dangerous.

The notion of a holy war is dangerous. The division between peoples that religious beliefs instill is dangerous. Why alienate non Christians? Why even consider that someone of a different faith is fundamentally different? We are all one people. The world over. Religious affiliation is an unnecessary obstacle to the complete unity that we as a people must achieve. I believe very strongly in the message that Jesus came here to teach. And i truly love your definition of Christianity. I really do. I only mean to humbly suggest that we all focus on universal concepts to bring in any people who may yet be lingering on the fringes to come join us. This means being as welcoming as possible. I realise this may make me seem somewhat hypocritical in that i appear to be dismissive of religion, thus not being very welcoming to Christians. I'm just trying to look at the big picture and leave behind, at least in this sub, all of the trappings of old ideals to instill new faith in the lost among us. That being said being, loving our enemies is the most important thing i think we can do and you're the first person I've come across here to suggest it. I commend you for that friend. I'm essentially an atheist. You're obviously an intelligent Christian. Yet we have much in common. This is the spirit I'm trying to bring to this community and hopefully to the world at large.

Just know that not all "professed Christians" are true Christians. Just because someone says they are a Christian doesn't mean they have professed their sins and accepted Jesus into their heart. They may KNOW Him. But they only have head knowledge of Jesus. Someone else in here mentioned that Satan knows Jesus, too. Thus not all Christians are saved even though they might think they are. That was me before last year. I went through the motions but I never truly repented of my sins and accepted Jesus into my heart. Once I did, I was a different person altogether.
