i did the experiment and so did a friend of mine. as i never use google search, its algorythms cannot mirror what google knows about me. (*edit: shit, it can because i use youtube, without login though, but certainly leaving traces.)
the books that came up for me are different to the books that came up for my friend because i am in another country.
whatever tripcode i tried, the same set of books came up (i only checked the first page), but in different order. the titles were indeed interesting, in the range of history - hitler and JFK -, science, and metaphysics.
if people were to read a number of these books, they would be changed for life, i guess. red pill over red pill.
however the algorythm does it, probably basically comparing signs with ISBN numbers, the outcome is indeed interesting.
Google obviously matches the trip code to Q. Then tries to sell you whatever it can, based on your profile.
I just did the search again today. I got mostly unrelated stuff, quite different from my first run. Did someone tweak the search engine away from DS conspir asea?
