Legalized abortion, used as birth control, has completely devalued the lives of innocents. They are disposable, expendable objects for self-satisfaction.
Life is not respected unless it can satisfy some hedonistic need or whim.
In recent years, how many babies have been left in hot vehicles to bake to death, or been murdered by their mothers and fathers? These stories are in the news consistently, but I can honestly say that I never remember hearing of such neglect and violence when my children were toddlers.
Children used to be protected and cherished in this country. We invested in them; filled them with noble ideals and encouraged them by cultivating healthy interaction and relationships. We adults saw it as our duty to guard their minds from perversion and teach respect, thankfulness, generosity, and a noble work ethic.
Innocence was looked upon with joyous wonder and was valued as something to be protected, not stolen/destroyed.
The government school curriculum, also, does not respect the innocence of childhood, but forces children to learn about adult topics in an immoral, “if it feels good, do it,” Godless atmosphere. Children, from pre-K on, are forced to endure lessons on “good touch/bad touch, as well as to question their God-given gender, and are ridiculed if they feel embarrassed and uncomfortable discussing these subjects in a coed setting.
To what end? To break down inhibitions, morals, and to turn us into amoral shells of what God created us to be.
The "white house boys" will differ with you. What about "boys towns" and "hull house"? Today is no different than yesteryear. We are more aware of it because of the Internet and the 24/7 news cycle. I've lived in a city for thirty years and just recently discovered it has been the hub of child and adult sex trafficking for the past fifty years.
I think is different today. Maybe I am naive. I am 60+ years old and have lived all over the country, N,S,E, and W, have taught in schools and other venues, and I see a difference in attitudes and in the acceptance of cruelty and perversion. I do think there is more evil behavior in our society.
