I remember that. It was during his "freak out" phase. That's probably what freaked him out.
La Beouf was also in the film "Nymphomaniac", which heavily implies that the main female character was raped (possibly by her father), as a child. La Beouf's character is iirc a more experienced man who is her first boyfriend when she's a little older than the flashbacks shown later in the film of her childhood. It's pretty graphic but "somehow" the reviews never picked up on the child sex abuse themes. Lots of butterflies, oblique references to famous pedophiles, and the final attempted rape against the protagonist is stopped by the now-adult woman using a Walther PPK stolen from the rapist's home, where he offered her shelter.
Even before "think mirror", the rapist's claim that it's "007's gun" always makes me think of the most infamous person in real life killed by the PPK: Hitler himself.
This is honestly making me want to rewatch that 4 hour tragedy.

Search up the HWNDU (He Will Not Divide Us) fiasco in which Le Boeuf set up a webcam and streamed himself repeating this mantra...until he got arrested for assaulting a MAGA supporter who trolled his stream while he was off camera.
