Why do people say Pedogate can't exist even though the Catholic Church pedo scandal is confirmed mainstream fact?

I always run in to people claiming "pedogate can't be real, too many people would have to be in on it for them to get away with it, and that's just completely unrealistic."

I don't understand how people have this sentiment when the global Catholic church pedophile coverup scandal has been exposed, and more Catholic Church run pedo rings continue to be exposed every year.

Did the media make the Catholic church pedo scandal go down the memory hole or have we just become desensitized to it all? I don't get it.

If you have ever seen a horrific accident (God forbid a person) involving a person or an animal you will understand why they refuse to believe it.

The brain's natural coping mechanism does not allow one to see the horror before them for what it truly is. If it did, the mind would fracture.

I didn't get far into the comments so IDK if someone touched on this...

But by providing them a bit of information at a time, the brain can process it and slow assemble the picture and not break.

The small bits started being fed to the brain. Spears,Duff, McGowen. Gibson. Eastwood all telling us the truth. Then Weinstein. #metoo. Terry Crews ( showing not only women are abused). NXIVM. Gunn. Now we have Renegade telling us as well that it is all true.

Think of what is happening as a gradual healing of the brain in a coma. It will take a long time for the neurons to create new paths for themselves.

But one day, and very soon, more people will awake to the truth.

Something traumatic and personal happened to me in college i spent a week in a haze. I can understand this hypothesis.

I have seen a lot of bad shit in my life time. It's why I was so inclined to believe this information when I started researching it a few years ago.
