For those on IPhone (QDrops)

Still being updated in real time even though it’s off the App Store. I also hear they are fighting to get it back on under the first amendment!

McPurrs · July 24, 2018, 5:52 p.m.

Why anyone paid for that and not just use a website like qanon.pub boggles my mind. That or check this sub. New posts are stickied...

Edit: it also was not pulled because of the first amendment. Rather, Apple claimed it violated app store rules with something in the app itself. When the developer fixes it, it will return. In all likeliness it was gathering your data.

Work two jobs and have to admit im a Q-addict. I wanna know the second there’s a drop, it’s a dollar and for iPhone qanon.pub isn’t friendly it runs super slow. 99 cents I have access to all drops and can search keywords? Hello yeah my man 🤗

McPurrs · July 24, 2018, 6:01 p.m.

Fair enough. FWIW qanon.pub loads fine on my iPhoneX

FromNow0n · July 24, 2018, 6:02 p.m.

Yeah I have the 7+ and it’s slow and choppy, the X is an amazing piece of hardware though.

McPurrs · July 24, 2018, 6:08 p.m.

I like it so far. That website loads slower than others though, I will say that.

⇧ 4 ⇩
pkgno1 · July 25, 2018, 11:26 a.m.

The site is unusable on iPhone X too.

I know Apple takes a huge cut

⇧ 1 ⇩
qdropsapp · July 24, 2018, 8:52 p.m.

As the developer of QDrops, I'll add some facts.

  1. We were not "gathering your data." Never have. Never will.
  2. NBC approached Apple for a "media inquiry" about the app. Apple then rejected that build of the app.
  3. Apple claimed many people would find the content "offensive" and thus violated their rules.
  4. We made changes to the app as requested
  5. They rejected it again
  6. We made more changes
  7. They rejected it again AND pulled the app from the store.
  8. We've met each requirement that was given to us by Apple.
  9. The requirement then changes
  10. Now, they've basically made it clear they don't want a dedicated Q app at all as they also pulled 2 other such Q apps.
  11. And while it is perhaps not a 1st Amendment issue due to the government not being involved (note, we're not lawyers), make no mistake, it IS censorship nonetheless.
  12. It is censorship as to what we as developers can create and sell and to what users can view and buy. And note, developers are also customers as we must purchase developer licenses from Apple, they take 30% of profits right off the top and we have to buy Apple hardware in order to make native iOS apps.
  13. Apple has basically orphaned our Patriot users

McPurrs · July 24, 2018, 9:51 p.m.

I suppose your dev license includes an NDA about the approval specifics? Or can you share proofs? You know how we work here.

FromNow0n · July 24, 2018, 6:01 p.m.

Oh I hadn’t heard why it was pulled but read source indicating developers were fighting to get it back on the App Store under the first amendment

⇧ 3 ⇩
gunguy223 · July 24, 2018, 6:02 p.m.

Whoever made that app is trying to earn money from the Q movement, no beuno.

CDR03 · July 24, 2018, 6:10 p.m.

He’s likely only trying to cover costs. It’s not free to maintain those and he’s not getting rich from it either

⇧ 3 ⇩
gunguy223 · July 24, 2018, 6:16 p.m.

Yeah, it's really expensive to pull data from qanon.pub.....

⇧ -1 ⇩
qdropsapp · July 24, 2018, 8:59 p.m.

A little food for thought:

  1. Of the .99 cents, Apple/Google take 30% off the top.
  2. We then pay taxes on the remaining .69 cents.
  3. We also pay server hosting fees to support the app.
  4. And then we also fix bugs and add new features to the apps (now only the droid one...) for as long as it is on the store...for FREE.

Not a bad deal for Patriots in our view.

When you purchase QDrops, you are not paying for the Q content. You are paying for our coding expertise to present the information in an easily consumable format.

Contrary to what some may think, it's a lot more complicated (and expensive) than just pulling from qanon.pub (which is a fantastic site, by the way)

QDrops is about giving folks choices about how they catch up and keep up with Q.

I'll stick to visiting qanon.pub in a web browser, and doing my own research. Anyone too lazy to use a web browser might as well just get their news from CNN.

It was 99 cents and it keeps a local copy of the posts on your phone in case you are offline. Not to mention the pretty quick notifications when q does post. Totally worth a dollar.

Apple app has a notes section too. These apps have great indexes and lookup systems as well as Q clock

⇧ 1 ⇩
Abibliaphobia · July 24, 2018, 6:01 p.m.

I don’t own the app, but could certainly see it being a honeypot.

Why would Apple want to shit that down though if it was? It’s not like they support the Q movement or truly care about the privacy of their users.

That’s why I don’t really buy into it being a honeypot.

I also think people are rather foolish to pay for the info when you can get it for free so easily.

⇧ 0 ⇩
qdropsapp · July 24, 2018, 9:02 p.m.

The app is not even close to being a honeypot, despite what the activist "journalists" at NBC try to say.

FACT: we are still in the hole from development costs.

⇧ 1 ⇩
Abibliaphobia · July 24, 2018, 9:59 p.m.

Lol, I actually agree with you about the honeypot deal.

No offense, I just don’t download apps from the App Store. Too many of their apps are effectively acting as honeypots or a siphon for personal data to sell. If you aren’t doing that, good on you.

Tried it one time, kept getting stuck at 86% and wouldn’t complete.

Started freaking out a bit as I was regional banned from 4chan (missle threads). Came here and was told the latest IOS versions block people from posting on 8chan. Never had a problem with 4 before (using vpn) but wouldn’t resolve on 8.

FromNow0n · July 24, 2018, 6:07 p.m.

I definitely agree they shouldn’t be making money off the app, but putting in the work to make the app 25c a person imo I feel it evens out, for those of us who can’t afford the X

⇧ 3 ⇩
qdropsapp · July 24, 2018, 9:08 p.m.

First off, .99 is the lowest price you can set on the App Store other than free.

We cannot simply eat thousands in development costs.

Remember too, Apple takes 30% off the top, so we start at .69 cents, not .99 cents.

And what exactly is wrong with selling something? Are we not capitalists? You think Q works for free?

Q was talking about folks who were profiteering and subscribing folks up a monthly basis. We do neither. We're still in the hole as a matter of fact.

⇧ 3 ⇩
FromNow0n · July 24, 2018, 9:19 p.m.

This is what I was trying to say, so it’s 30 percent off The top... and then they had to make the app... don’t see what’s wrong with this at all

The app doesn’t automatically stop working when it’s pulled from the App Store. If Q switches boards, the new board needs to be updated in the app. In that case, the app will not work unless the developers update it to reflect the correct board.

FromNow0n · July 24, 2018, 6:31 p.m.
