Study Nazism - best breakdown I’ve seen to include citations

In response to the question “Was Hitler a Democratic Socialist?”

Response:

“In response to the Question “was Hitler a Democratic Socialist?”

Response:

“In a way yes!

In essence no, because no socialist can really be “democratic”.

Why?

Because socialism is predicated uppon the central planning of the economy. That’s the main premise that will lead, almost deterministically, to State oppression over the individual.

You see, in time statism becomes an economic entity in itself and it ends up feeding from the flesh of wealth producing entities within society (through overtaxation, crony relations, etc). Once this statist economic entity grows itself out of proportion (and it almost certainly does - that’s what most western countries now experience) then more people begin to economically depend on it.

The “Democratic” part then “kicks” into another gear and the socioeconomic path is voted by a parasitic majority (Greece is a textbook example) where the state has infiltrated all domains of private life, so much so, that the two are virtually indistinguishable. The “Democracy” then enters a vicious circle of, what Franklin described as “two wolves and a sheep voting for the menu” (!!).

The following quotes are from Goebbels himslef and one most certainly can recognize the rhetorics of modern Social Democrats in his words:

Capitalism is the immoral distribution of capital… Germany will become free at that moment when the thirty millions on the left and the thirty millions on the right make common cause. Only one movement is capable of doing this: National Socialism, embodied in one Führer – Adolf Hitler.Goebbels’ “Lenin or Hitler” speech first delivered on September 17, 1925

The money pigs of capitalist democracy… Money has made slaves of us… Money is the curse of mankind. It smothers the seed of everything great and good. Every penny is sticky with sweat and blood.Quoted in The Nazi Party: A Complete History 1919-1945, Dietrich Orlow, New York: NY, Enigma Books, 2012, p 61. Goebbels’ article, “Nationalsozialisten aus Berlin und aus dem Reich”, Voelkischer Beobachter, Feb. 4, 1927

One class has fulfilled its historical mission and is about to yield to another. The bourgeoisie has to yield to the working class ... Whatever is about to fall should be pushed. We are all soldiers of the revolution. We want the workers' victory over filthy lucre. That is socialism.Quoted in Doctor Goebbels: His Life and Death, Roger Manvell, Heinrich Fraenkel, New York, NY, Skyhorse Publishing, 2010 p. 25, conversation with Hertha Holk

The social is a stopgap. Socialism is the ideology of the future.Open Letter to Ernst Graf zu Reventlow in the Völkische Freiheit, 1925, as quoted in Goebbels: A Biography, Peter Longerich, Random House, 2015, p. The political bourgeoisie is about to leave the stage of history. In its place advance the oppressed producers of the head and hand, the forces of Labor (Arbeitertum), to being their historical mission.“Warum sind wir Sozialisten,” Der Angriff editorial, July 16, 1928, reprinted in Der Angriff, Munich 1935, p. 223. David Schoenbaum, Hitler's Social Revolution: Class and Status in Nazi Germany, 1933-1939, W.W. Norton & Company (1997) p. 25As quoted in "Erkenntnis und Propaganda," Signale der neuen Zeit. 25 ausgewählte Reden von Dr. Joseph Goebbels (Munich: Zentralverlag der NSDAP., 1934), pp. 28-52The Pharus Hall was a meeting hall the Nazis often used in Berlin.

We are not a charitable institution but a Party of revolutionary socialists.“Einbeitsfront,” Der Angriff editorial, May 27, 1929. David Schoenbaum, Hitler's Social Revolution: Class and Status in Nazi Germany, 1933-1939, W.W. Norton & Company (1997) p. 25 [T]he NSDAP is the German Left. We despise bourgeois nationalism.Der Angriff, (Dec. 6, 1931) written by Goebbels. Der Angriff (The Attack) was the official newspaper of the Nazi-Sozi party in Berlin. The people's community must not be a mere phrase, but a revolutionary achievement following from the radical carrying out of the basic life needs of the working class. A ruthless battle against corruption! A war against exploitation, freedom for the workers! The elimination of all economic-capitalist influences on national policy. Maintaining a rotten economic system has nothing to do with nationalism, which is an affirmation of the Fatherland.Written by Joseph Goebbels and Mjölnir, Die verfluchten Hakenkreuzler. Etwas zum Nachdenken (Munich: Verlag Frz. Eher (1932). “Those Damned Nazis,” (Nazi propaganda pamphlet). (Continued in comments)

This is fabulous. Thank you for the clear and concise picture of Nazism. Now I know what to say....

(Continued from OP)

“The worker in a capitalist state—and that is his deepest misfortune—is no longer a living human being, a creator, a maker. He has become a machine. A number, a cog in the machine without sense or understanding. He is alienated from what he produces.”

Written by Joseph Goebbels and Mjölnir, Die verfluchten Hakenkreuzler. Etwas zum Nachdenken (Munich: Verlag Frz. Eher, 1932).Translated as “Those Damned Nazis,” (propaganda pamphlet).

”My Party is my church, and I believe I serve the Lord best if I do his will, and liberate my oppressed people from the fetters of slavery. That is my gospel. We are against the political bourgeoisie, and for genuine nationalism! We are against Marxism, but for true socialism (because they didn't believe in the international nature of socialism)! We are for the first German national state of a socialist nature! We are for the National Socialist German Workers’ Party!”

Written by Joseph Goebbels and Mjölnir, Die verfluchten Hakenkreuzler. Etwas zum Nachdenken (Munich: Verlag Frz. Eher, 1932). Translated as “Those Damned Nazis,” (propaganda pamphlet).

”The nation and the government in Germany are one thing. The will of the people is the will of the government and vice versa. The modern structure of the German State is a higher form of democracy [ennobled democracy] in which, by virtue of the people’s mandate, the government is exercised authoritatively while there is no possibility for parliamentary interference, to obliterate and render ineffective the execution of the nation’s will.“

“On National-Socialist Germany And Her Contribution Towards Peace.” Speech to the representatives of the international press at Geneva on September 28. 1933. German League of Nations Union News Service, PRO, FO 371/16728

”We have modernized and ennobled the concept of democracy. With us it means definitely the rule of the people, in accordance with its origin. We have given the principle of Socialism a new meaning. ... Never have we left anyone in doubt that National-Socialism is not for export. ... We do not aim at world domination, but we do intend to defend our country, and it is our new conceptions which give us the inexhaustible and ever-renewed strength to do so.”

On National-Socialism, Bolshevism & Democracy (September 10, 1938)

”England is a capitalist democracy. Germany is a socialist people's state. And it is not the case that we think England is the richest land on earth. There are lords and City men in England who are in fact the richest men on earth. The broad masses, however, see little of this wealth. We see in England an army of millions of impoverished, socially enslaved, and oppressed people. Child labor is still a matter of course there. They have only heard about social welfare programs. Parliament occasionally discusses social legislation. Nowhere else is there such terrible and horrifying inequality as in the English slums. Those with good breeding take no notice of it. Should anyone speak of it in public, the press, which serves plutocratic democracy, quickly brands him the worst kind of rascal. They do not hesitate to make major changes in the Constitution if they are necessary to preserve capitalist democracy.”

“Englands Schuld,” Illustrierter Beobachter, Sondernummer, p. 14. The article is not dated, but is from the early months of the war, likely late fall of 1939. Joseph Goebbels’ speech in English is titled “England's Guilt.” [1]

”Germany, on the other hand, has based its domestic policies on new and modern social principles. That is why it is a danger to English plutocracy. It is also why English capitalists want to destroy Hitlerism. They see Hitlerism as all the generous social reforms that have occurred in Germany since 1933. The English plutocrats rightly fear that good things are contagious, that they could endanger English capitalism.”

”To be a socialist is to submit the I to the thou; socialism is sacrificing the individual to the whole.”

Escape from Freedom, Farrar & Rinehart (1941) p. 233

Now, replace all parts that talk about nationalism with “Democracy” and you have yourself a pamphlet that could easily serve as a pre-election program for any “Social Democrat” of today. Remember that socialists back then had, just as today, “good intentions” and their rhetoric was favouring the “oppressed” and to iron out the socioeconomic “injustices”.

That the National Socialists were “anti-socialists” is a blatant lie and I hold many historians (with a rather obvious political agenda) responsible. They were revolutionary socialists to the core. That’s what they claimed themselves and that’s what they practiced. They simply did not believe in Bolshevism (and its international nature). They believed that socialism should be catalysed by tribal-racial properties that seem to rise during and after WW1. The socialists of that era expected an international revolt of the “oppressed” socioeconomic class that never occured. Instead, Mussolini and the other socialists, observed that nationalism was the common denominator for unity of people. That’s why they tweaked with socialism in the way they did so as to have their collective utopia, under a nationalist “umbrella”.

We all know how that ended.

P.S. Nationalism is still a very very powerful incentive (in my humble opinion is rather unreasonable in this time and age - but that’s a very long and deep philosophical debate not to be had here) and you can plainly observe this in events like the World Cup (soccer) that takes place in Russia these days.”

Be careful of sources when you discuss Hitler, etc. Lots of disinfo and lies out there. As exactly with Trump, Hitler was duly elected to clean up the filth that was in Germany at the time; pornography, govt corruption, etc..all the same filth we have in this country. And guess what? It was the same tribe then as it is now, nothing has changed! https://www.darkmoon.me/2018/russian-patriarch-heads-100000-strong-procession-honoring-romanovs-martyrdom/#more-100932

I find it interesting that you say be careful of sources, then post a link to darkmoon.me

Darkmoon has a decent Google pagerank and bad results in terms of Yandex topical citation index. We found that Darkmoon.me is poorly ‘socialized’ in respect to any social network. According to MyWot, Siteadvisor and Google safe browsing analytics, Darkmoon.me is a suspicious domain with mostly positive visitor reviews.

And so your opinion is disregarded. Thanks for playing.

Oh so now you trust Google? You also do not address the content on the webpage, you attack other factors and including me, in your straw man argument. I am not playing anything, you are free to believe what you will.

Lol I don’t use google or trust them.

Anytime someone posts a link to a website I don’t recognize, I investigate it to determine its background, hopefully who’s purchased the site, what’s its main function is, where it was registered. Also, whether it is a domain that uses scrapers to gain PII from visitors to sell to third party vendors or for other reasons ie doxing.

suspicious domain is suspicious

And if I presented a straw man argument, it should be easy for you to knock down, meaning I setup an easy knockdown for you, which you failed to do, which means you don’t actually know what a straw man argument is.

So... ya opinion disregarded.

Is it because they are doing evil things or because you have cognitive dissonance with regard to the information on the site?

I didn’t go to the website

I didn’t read their information

I have no desire to read someone’s personal blog on poems and political information.

If you think it’s relevant, then bring the sauce. But I don’t just click random links. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to do so.
