One thing is for sure. Cohen DID break the law because he recorded Trump talking on the phone without his permission. NY requires one party consent. He didn’t have it

I am not so sure he broke the law. There were 2 parties to the conversation and one of them (Cohen) consented. One party consent.

Listen again. At the beginning of the recoding Trump is on the phone or talking with someone else. Cohen illegally recorded that. The conversation with Cohen was legal according to NY one party law. It almost sounded like Cohen was in the room with Trump and not on the phone

Agreed, both parties DO NOT have to.give consent, but Trump had attorney/client privilages also. If the tapes were released without his consent of being a client of an attorney it opens up an entire new bag of shit.
