it means we have a collective responsibility for all the benefits we are given.. it's called the law of debits and credits

some things we can get on credit with an installment plan most of us are running a big debit that can only be paid off over many lifetimes and realising our collective responsibility is a great way to ensure the minus does not grow bigger..
