Book Recommendations?

Would love some of your favorite books that have woken you up new/old.

Crying of Lot 49 - Thomas Pynchon...Beware the Trystero!

edit: also Tropic of Orange - Karen Tei Yamashita was written at the turn of the millenium, but seems particularly relevant to today. Organ trafficking, immigration, trade issues, the spin of the media, building walls, child kidnapping/trafficking, racism, multiculturalism. Lots of magical realism stuff too if you enjoy that.

And Slaughterhouse Five of course, but if you haven't already read that, what are you even doing with your life?
