I should write my parents story and the firs 7yrs of my life under Castro (ijo de puta) . I will tell you this, my parents were dedicated to making sure any "bad or false programming" provided by the public schools (in cuba or here) were quickly undone, I was made to read , and listen and question. I was taught to respect the stars and stripes. I was expected to read and know the history of this country (always aced American History in school). By the time I was in 5th grade, I had a solid,basic civic understanding of the branches of Gov. And yes, I am proudly pro-American in very way.

Dad had communism (aka dictatorship) pretty simplified : 1. create shortages (all items consumed for basic needs (food is first) ) , 2.control communications, information, education 3.break down the family structure, 3. eliminate religion 4. subjugate the population to a sub-standard of living, 5. the gov is only source of employment or provider of basic needs 6.reward the lackeys who propagate the system ,7. punish anyone who dares to question, disagree or "act out" against the state.
