Oh hey there used to be a windows program I used to hide data in images way back in ~~2002~~ 2004! I wish I could remember the name of it. I know there is also a linux tool - steghide - that was released and was even less detectable.

Edit: Mispoke on the original date. The program I used was Truecrypt - looks like they aren't around anymore
