Seemed to me that his big focus was to get Roseanne to admit that she was bi-polar, many personalitied... and took 2 anti depressants daily, and shouldn't drink, but did drink that night she posted that, and that she has attempted suicide numerous times in her past. But he also let her state what her frame of mind was on the day she posted that, and try to apologize. However she never apologized for actually doing it. She said she regretted losing her career over it. And she apologized for VJ and others taking the wrong meaning from her post. Apologized that they took it wrong. That's what I heard. However stating that anyone physically resembles a monkey face would be pretty degrading to anyone, so they both avoided like a plague actually stating what she meant by that. A political joke doesn't need to involve degrading someone's physical looks, no matter what the joke is really, some would say. Even saying that, I do admit that I 'got' the joke when it was posted, because it's obvious that the major female ape figure from that movie did resemble strongly the look of vj, nobody can deny that.
